Welcome Aboard Wayne Carleton
Dear Members,
We are thrilled to announce the selection of a new Executive Director to lead the Richmond Jets Minor Hockey Association. After a nearly year-long process, the Richmond Jets board and executive search committee have chosen Wayne Carleton to serve as the organization’s new Executive Director. Wayne will begin in his new role today, and will increasingly take over all the day-to-day running of our operations, and it will allow the Board more time to focus the vision and mission for the Richmond Jets moving forward.
Wayne Carleton is an experienced leader in the sports industry and brings a wealth of knowledge in minor hockey to this new position with the Jets organization. Wayne built his career in a sports environment over the past 25 years undertaking a variety of leadership roles and responsibilities as a director, executive, coach coordinator, head coach and hockey advisor, along with being a professional consultant.
Wayne is highly respected for his work in developing and overseeing minor hockey programs through professionalism and inclusion. He is also a member of the PCAHA Return To Play Committee and his commitment to the hockey community at the local and regional level is well respected. Wayne has strong leadership experience with non-profit organizations and has worked and volunteered at all levels of minor hockey.
“It’s a great honour to take on this new role with the Richmond Jets Minor Hockey Association, said Wayne Carleton. I am looking forward to working with the Board, staff, coaches, volunteers and all the players and their families, to grow and improve the association well into the future.”
