From October 12-14th, the Richmond Jets hosted the exciting Ice Breaker Rep Tournament at Richmond Ice Center. With 48 teams participating, including 32 out-of-town teams and over 800 players, the tournament was a thrilling way to kick off the season. Several Richmond Jets teams earned medals across various tiers and flights.

Here’s a recap of our medal-winning teams:

  • U11A1 (Tier 1)Flight 1 (Head Coach: Linden Saip): The U11A1 team displayed remarkable skill and teamwork, earning a medal in a competitive division.
  • U13A1 (Tier 1)Flight 1 (Head Coach: Matt Leduc): Matt Leduc’s U13A1 squad delivered a strong performance, securing a medal after a series of hard-fought matches.
  • U11A3 (Tier 3)Flight 2 (Head Coach: Ray Hung): Competing in Tier 3, the U11A3 Jets secured a medal with their consistency and determination.
  • U13A2 (Tier 2)Flight 1 (Head Coaches: Michael Gill & Jordan Chai): The U13A2 team demonstrated resilience and earned a well-deserved medal after a tough tournament.
  • U13A3 (Tier 3)Flight 2 (Head Coach: Jeff Matsuo): U13A3 had a fantastic tournament run, culminating in an exciting all-Jets final against U13A4, where they took home the gold medal.
  • U13A4 (Tier 3)Flight 2 (Head Coach: Jordan Oye): In the thrilling final against U13A3, the U13A4 Jets showed incredible determination, earning the silver medal in a closely contested match.

The exciting final between U13A3 and U13A4 was one of the highlights of the tournament, showcasing the talent and competitive spirit within the Richmond Jets program.
