On Saturday, September 17th, the Richmond Jets and the Richmond Ravens joined to celebrate hockey season’s start!

Families and players from both associations gathered at the Richmond Ice Centre parking lot to take in the festivities.

Steveston Sound & Stage provided great music throughout the day and definitely added great spirit and energy to the entire event.

Back by POPULAR DEMAND was the dreaded DUNK TANK! We had many courageous and brave volunteers take a turn in the dunk tank, including Olympic Gold Medal Winner, Evan Dunfee and MLA for Richmond South Centre, Henry Yao. Both are big supporters of the Richmond Jets and of youth and youth sports in Richmond, BC.

Families were treated to free hotdogs, cotton candy and popcorn. Kids tried their best to dunk one of our great volunteers and they also tried their luck with target shooting, radar shooting, and other games.

We also had Cyclone Taylor Sports and Real Hip Clothing apparel sales and a hockey swap run by our volunteers.
