Our Jets Winter 2026 Skills Program starting January 2026, is designed for dedicated Jets U9 to U13 players who want to become more than just an average player and to take their game to new heights. The Jets skating and skills development program is designed to improve your hockey skills, compete level and skating and edge work, in a FUN, fast paced and rewarding environment.
Under the direction of the Jets Director of Hockey Linden Saip and our experienced team of RJMHA skills and goalie coaches, the programs for U9 to U13 divisions will include U9/U11 C Power Skating, U9, U11 and U13 Shooting Clinics, U11/U13 D-Academy and U11/U13 Goalie Development.
Players will be placed in appropriate skill groups based on their division and skill level, in order to maximize the teaching efficiency and learning experience of each individual player.
Space will be limited, so book early to reserve your spot!!
**Please note that if a specific session is over-subscribed you will be placed on a waitlist and if a session is under-subscribed the association reserves the right to cancel the session at their discretion.

U9 & U11 C (House) POWER SKATING -
Looking to increase your Speed, Power and Edge control? Come join RJMHA skating coach Michelle Popoff in our Power-Skating Development Program that will focus on: Forward Stride/Edge Control, Backward Stride/Edge Control, Forward/Backwards Crossovers, Turns/Agility and Transition Skating. These skills will be put to the test in isolated skating sequences, drills and races/competitions.
COST - $360 per player: 8 SESSIONS (max 20 players per session)

U11/U13 Jets D-Academy: Offensive/Defensive Skills and Tactics - Fridays
Come join former WHL defenseman Linden Saip at our Jets D-Academy! This program is designed to develop the “New-Era Defenseman” with a large focus on Offensive Tactics. This program will cover: Puck Retrievals, Breakouts, Working and Communicating with a D-partner, Offensive Zone Tactics (shooting, fakes, partner plays), Defensive Tactics (angling, positioning, escaping pressure).
COST - $360 per player: 8 SESSIONS (max 20 players per session)

U11/U13 - (2013 to 2016) - RIC FORUM - 6:00am - 7:00am
U9/U11 Shooting Clinic - Wednesday's
This clinic focuses on the fundamentals of shooting and a variety of different scoring techniques including wrist shots, glue shots (catch and release), slap shots, 1-timers/punch shots, wrap arounds, redirections and in-tight finishing. Each session will focus on a different shooting skill and will put it into action through a variety of shooting and scoring drills.
COST - $360 per player: 8 SESSIONS (max 20 players per session)

U11/U13 Shooting Clinic - Saturday's

Come join Proformance Goalie School in our opt-in goalie program. This 6 session series is available for both our REP and Recreation level (C) goalies who are eager to extend their knowledge of both the technical and mental side of the game.

As one of the largest minor hockey associations in British Columbia, the Richmond Jets Minor Hockey Association offers an integrated (boys and girls) minor hockey program from Initiation to Juvenile.
