Richmond Jets Goalie Development Program

Building the Next Generation of Richmond Jets Goaltenders

The Richmond Jets are proud to be a leader in goalie development for players of all ages. Our Goalie Committee is actively exploring new ways to improve the program each season — from professional coaching partnerships to enhanced training opportunities. We’re committed to helping every goalie reach their potential, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love for the position.

Goalie Skills Development (U7–U18)

Our goalie development program is led by Proformance Goalie School, providing expert instruction for all Richmond Jets goaltenders.

U11–U18 Goalies

  • 10 group skill sessions per age division
  • In-practice training with a professional goalie coach
    • 6 sessions per team for Rep-level goalies
    • 3 sessions per team for C-level goalies

U9 Goalies

  • 10 group skill sessions focused on fun, fundamentals, and movement

U7 Goalies

  • 2 group skill sessions introducing the basics of the goalie position

Opt-In Goalie Training Program

The Friday Evening Opt-In Goalie Program provides additional weekly training for goalies seeking extra development time on the ice. Led by Proformance Goalie School, these sessions take place in a competitive, supportive environment that encourages growth and improvement.

  • Format: Package-based (no single drop-ins)
  • Cost per session: $55.00

This program is ideal for goalies looking to take their game to the next level.

Try Goalie Training Program

The Jets Try Goalie Training Program is designed to recruit and inspire new goalies.
Open to all ages — and especially recommended for U9 and younger players —this program gives players the opportunity to experience the goalie position in a fun and encouraging setting.

  • Regularly scheduled sessions run by professional goalie instructors
  • Opportunities for current goalies to volunteer on and off the ice

By promoting the goalie position, we’re building the next generation of Richmond Jets netminders.
