Dear Members,

Thank you to all our athletes, members, volunteers, coaches, staff, and the Board of Directors for your incredible commitment and spirit throughout a fantastic season. The compassion, dedication, and kindness of our hockey community have once again propelled us to great achievements. Well done to everyone involved with the Jets Team—your efforts have truly made a difference!

As we close this season, we are already excited and gearing up for the next. We anticipate a return to normal operations and are enthusiastic about the possibilities ahead. Our community's strength is showcased through our dedicated volunteers who bring expertise in various disciplines. As we prepare for another successful year, consider stepping into a role on our board of directors. Think about who among you has the experience and passion to best represent the members of the Richmond Jets MHA.

Thank you once again for a memorable season, and let's bring even more energy and commitment to 2024-25!

This letter serves as a call for anyone interested in putting their name forward for election to the Board of Directors as per the RJMHA Bylaws.  As per our Bylaws, nominations for Director are NOT allowed from the floor at the AGM, so we encourage you to submit a nomination by the deadline on May 22, 2024.

With the member approval of our new Bylaws at the 2021 AGM, it enables our organization to hold a virtual AGM again this year.

Elections will begin to take place at the RJMHA Annual General Meeting to be held on Thursday, June 5th, 2024 virtually at 7 pm with registration and participation details to follow.

Candidates for a Director position must possess the following qualifications:

• Be a member in good standing of the Association for the previous 365 days prior to the Annual General Meeting,
• Possess an ability to work in a team environment,
• Be able to give enough personal time to commit to the demands of the position,
• Be at ease offering input during group discussions and comfortable dealing with conflict.
• All potential candidates will be required to complete a Criminal Records Check (CRC) prior to being confirmed as a director.

Please submit the nominations to the Chair of the Nominating Committee President Eric Bernal, no later than May 22nd, 2024.

A notice of the slate of candidates shall be posted on the RJMHA website prior to the AGM.  Nominations must be submitted in advance of the election, in accordance with such deadlines as may be established by the Board.  Nominations will not be permitted from the floor at a General Meeting.
