Hockey Director - LInden Saip

Linden Saip

Director of Hockey Operations, Skills Provider, U13A1 Head Coach

Linden is responsible for leading and supporting the development of all our players and coaches and overseeing the growth and day-to-day on-ice management of the Richmond Jets’ initiation, recreational, and rep hockey programs.

Linden’s playing career included time in the WHL, BCHL, and the University of British Columbia, where he earned a degree in Kinesiology with a specialization in High-Performance Strength & Conditioning. As both a player and coach, Linden has developed a deep understanding of the roles, responsibilities, and core values crucial to achieving common goals. His leadership style emphasizes leading by example, taking initiative, and working with children and young adults to support their personal, technical, and psychological growth.

Linden has been a long-time skills provider and program coordinator with the Richmond Jets. Last season, he served as Head Coach of the U11A1 team, guiding them to a highly successful year. For the 2025/26 season, Linden will be stepping behind the bench as Head Coach of the U13A1 team, continuing his commitment to developing our athletes both on and off the ice.

Director of Rep - Mike Ikeda

Director of Rep Hockey

Coach Mike Ikeda, in coordination with the Rep Committee, is responsible for the oversight, growth, and day-to-day operations of the Richmond Jets’ U11–U18 (A) rep program.

With over a decade of rep coaching experience across the Lower Mainland, Coach Mike has led teams at every level within our association, including multiple seasons as Head Coach of the U15A1 team. He has also coached at the elite level with the U17 Greater Vancouver Canadians and served as an Assistant Coach with UBC Varsity Hockey. A former pro player in Japan and Junior A player in the AJHL, Mike brings a wealth of experience, a passion for development, and a commitment to building a strong team culture.

Mats Lindgren

Mats Lindgren

Skills Provider

Mats is a proven and passionate teacher of the game of hockey. Decades of exposure to North American and Swedish Ice Hockey training and coaching methods has enabled Mats to develop an enhanced puck possession brand of hockey for both minor hockey coaches and players.  

Mats is a two-time world junior champion, former NHL player of 10 seasons, 1998 Olympian, and Swedish Hockey League (SHL) coach of 7 seasons. 

Head Coach - Reegan House

Skills Provider - Power Skating

Reegan has specialized as a power skating and skills coach for the past three years. He has experience working with hockey players of all ages (ages four to fifty) and with players and teams in the PCAHA, CSSHL, BCEHL, PJHL, BCHL and WHL.   Reegan will also be the head Coach of the U11A2 team this year.

Reegan grew up playing hockey from the age of six with the Cloverdale Minor Hockey Association up until the age of seventeen, when he began his first of four years playing in the PJHL. Reegan spent his first two seasons with the White Rock Whalers and finished his last two years with the Delta Ice Hawks. Upon completion of his Junior Hockey career, Reegan took to teaching with the focus of helping hockey players achieve their goals of playing at the highest level. He is very excited to start his first season as a member of the Richmond Jets organization.

Michelle Popoff

Michelle Popoff

Skills Provider – Skating Initiation Program & Intro to Hockey

Michelle has been a Skate Canada Certified PowerSkating and Figure Skating coach for over 35yrs and has worked for the Connaught Skating Club and most recently the Delta Skating Club as their Head Powerskating coach.

Michelle also works in Recreation with the City of Richmond at the Arenas, as the supervisor for the Learn to Skate Program and also has 3 adult sons that are all Richmond Alumni. Michelle is a passionate, energetic coach that strives to get the best out of every player. I pride myself on motivating all players, of all capabilities in a fun, high-energy but challenging setting, supporting each player's development while they gain confidence and build a strong skating foundation along the way!

Matt Leduc

Matt Leduc

Matt has a wealth of experience in instruction, video and skills development and has worked for multiple organizations over the past number of years with Leduc Hockey Development.

Matt will be the U11A1 head coach this year and is excited to have the privilege of leading and guiding young athletes on and off the ice. My coaching philosophy centers around fostering a positive and inclusive team environment, while promoting individual skill development and growth.

His hockey career includes five seasons in the WHL with the Spokane Chiefs and played for the UBC Thunderbirds in the 2021-22 season.

Ryan Bayley

Skills Provider

Ryan brings a lifetime of hockey experience and a true passion for player development. A proud product of Seafair Minor Hockey, Ryan’s playing career took him through four seasons in the PJHL with the Delta Ice Hawks and two years at the varsity level with SFU in the BCIHL.

He has coached with both Seafair and the Richmond Jets, contributing as a skills provider and assistant coach across multiple age groups. Ryan’s coaching philosophy focuses on skill development, teamwork, and work ethic—always aiming to help young athletes grow both as players and as people.

Rob Fuchs

Rob Fuchs & Proformance Goalies

Goaltending Coach

Rob Fuchs is a professional goaltending coach based in Vancouver.  Rob has been coaching in Richmond hockey programs for over 10 years and is an alumni of Richmond Minor Hockey.

A graduate of Hamline University in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management; Rob played four years of NCAA college hockey where as a freshman he won 2nd team all-conference honors. The first student of PFGS to receive a college scholarship, Rob has been an owner of PFGS since 2005.

We’re proud to announce that Linden Saip, our Hockey Director, will once again be returning as the U11A1 Head Coach for the 2026/27 season!

A former WHL player and long-time skills provider for the Jets, Linden brings high-level experience, strong leadership, and a deep commitment to player development, making him a tremendous asset to our association.

After leading the U13A1 group last season, Linden continues to bring his calm, focused coaching style and passion for the game to our athletes both on and off the ice. We’re incredibly fortunate to have him leading our U11A1 program while continuing to oversee hockey development across the Richmond Jets.

We’re excited to welcome back Reegan House as our U11A2 Head Coach for the 2026/27 season!

Reegan is a dedicated power skating and skills coach with experience training players of all ages—from young beginners to elite-level athletes in the CSSHL, BCEHL, PJHL, BCHL, and WHL. He brings a high-performance mindset and a passion for helping players reach their full potential.

Before stepping into the U11A2 Head Coach two years ago, Reegan contributed as an assistant with the U13A2 team in 2023/24. His growing impact within the Richmond Jets reflects his strong foundation in player development and his commitment to teaching the game the right way.

We’re thrilled to have Reegan’s knowledge, energy, and elite-level experience guiding our young athletes again this year!

U11A3 Head Coach - Ray Hung

The Richmond Jets are excited to announce that Ryan will be returning as Head Coach of our U11A3 team for the 2026/27 season!

Ryan has been a dedicated part of the Richmond Jets for many years, coaching across both the rep and C programs at multiple age levels. He has also played an important leadership role within the association, demonstrating a strong commitment to player development and community building.

Known for his steady leadership, hockey knowledge, and passion for the game, Ryan creates a positive environment that helps players build confidence, develop their skills, and grow their love for hockey.

We’re thrilled to have Ryan back behind the bench for another season and excited to see the continued growth of our U11A3 program!

U13A1 Head Coach - Michael Gil

The Richmond Jets are excited to announce that Michael Gill will be stepping into the role of Head Coach for our U13A1 team for the 2026/27 season!

A lifelong Richmond resident, Michael played his entire rep hockey career locally with the Richmond Blues, Seafair Islanders, and Richmond Jets. He finished his playing career by captaining the U21A Jets to a provincial championship in 2023.

Michael brings a strong passion for player development, team systems, and creating a positive, competitive environment for athletes to grow. Above all, he is committed to helping young players become better people both on and off the ice.

We’re thrilled to have Michael leading our U13A1 program this season and look forward to another exciting year ahead!

U13A2 - Ryan Bayley

The Richmond Jets are excited to announce that Ryan Bayley will be stepping into the role of Head Coach for our U13A2 team for the 2026/27 season!

Ryan brings a lifetime of hockey experience and a true passion for player development. A proud product of Seafair Minor Hockey, his playing career included four seasons in the PJHL with the Delta Ice Hawks, followed by two years competing at the varsity level with SFU in the BCIHL.

U13A3 Head Coach - Alexander Clark

The Richmond Jets are excited to announce that Alexander Clarke will be stepping into the role of Head Coach for our U13A3 team for the 2026/27 season!

Alexander played his entire minor hockey career with Surrey Minor Hockey and was affiliated with two PJHL teams during his playing days. He began his coaching journey in 2020 as an assistant coach and has since worked with a variety of age groups and development programs.

Most recently, Alexander served as an assistant coach under Ron Johnson while also supporting numerous camps and on-ice sessions throughout the season. His passion for coaching and player development continues to make a strong impact on the athletes he works with.

Alexander is committed to helping players grow both on and off the ice while creating a positive and competitive environment for development. We’re thrilled to have him leading our U13A3 program this season!

U15A1 Head Coach - Mike Ikeda

The Richmond Jets are excited to announce that Mike Ikeda will be returning as Head Coach of our U15A1 team for the 2026/27 season!

With over 15 years of coaching experience, Mike has led teams across multiple age groups within Richmond Minor Hockey and continues to bring a calm, structured, and competitive approach behind the bench.

His coaching experience includes leading the U15A1, U13A1, and U18A1 Jets, along with serving as Head Coach of the U17 Greater Vancouver Canadians in the BCEHL. Mike’s deep knowledge of the game, commitment to player development, and focus on building strong team culture make him an outstanding leader for our athletes.

We’re thrilled to have Mike back leading our U15A1 program for another exciting season!

U18A1 Head Coach - Judd Lambert

U18 A1 Head Coach

The Richmond Jets are excited to announce that Judd Lambert will be returning as Head Coach of our U18A1 team for the 2026/27 season!

Born and raised in Richmond, Judd played his minor hockey locally before advancing to the Richmond Sockeyes, the BCHL, and eventually Colorado College in the NCAA. Drafted by the New Jersey Devils in 1993, he went on to play five professional seasons in the IHL, AHL, and ECHL.

Following his playing career, Judd coached high school and youth hockey in Pennsylvania and New Jersey before returning to the Lower Mainland to coach the Richmond Sockeyes for nine seasons. During his time behind the bench, the Sockeyes captured four Regular Season Championships, two Playoff Championships, and both Provincial and Western Canadian titles.

Most recently, Judd coached at South Delta Minor Hockey for three seasons and now returns to continue leading and developing athletes within the Richmond Jets program. His experience, leadership, and passion for the game make him an outstanding mentor for our U18 players.

We’re thrilled to have Judd back behind the bench for another exciting season!

Coach Matt Leduc

Matt Leduc

Skill Provider - Rep & C Program

We are excited to have Matt working as a skills coaches this year with the Jets.  Matt’s coaching experience includes working as a skills coach for Dragicevic Hockey Development, Richmond Ravens, and Fraser Valley Rush. Most recently, I was the head skills instructor for the Western Hockey League Development Combine.

Matt played his minor hockey in Richmond before moving on to play 5 years in the WHL for the Spokane Chiefs and is currently studying at UBC with a focus on high-performance coaching.

His coaching philosophy for minor hockey is that development is a byproduct of making learning hockey engaging and fun.
